What we collect
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which links are clicked. It collects standard web analytics data: pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring site, and interactions such as clicking a product link. We do not use it to identify individuals and we do not attempt to.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can block them with your browser settings or a content blocker, and the site works normally without them. Google’s own privacy documentation explains what they do with the data they receive.
The contact form
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you submit, and we use them only to reply. Messages are delivered to our mailbox via Microsoft Graph and are retained there. We do not add contact form senders to any mailing list, because we do not operate one.
The form also records the moment it was loaded in your browser, which is used solely to reject automated submissions. It is not stored.
Affiliate links
Product links on this site route through a redirect on our own domain before sending you to a retailer. When you follow one, the retailer knows the visit came from us and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy, which is how the commission is attributed. We do not receive any personal information about your purchase — only aggregate reporting on whether sales occurred.
Server logs
Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses, for operational and security purposes. We do not use these for analytics.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
- We do not run advertising networks or retargeting pixels.
- We do not operate a mailing list or send marketing email.
- We do not require an account, because there is nothing to log in to.
Cookies
The only cookies this site sets directly are those placed by Google Analytics. Retailers you click through to set their own. Blocking cookies does not affect your ability to read anything here.
Children
This site is written for adults making purchasing decisions, frequently on behalf of children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information through the contact form, email us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. In practice the only personal information we are likely to hold is a contact form message you sent us.
Email info@reedandrosin.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm which message you are referring to so we can find it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the “last updated” date at the top of this page changes with it.
